R. Rosetta is a neural network-based model for predicting
unsaturated soil hydraulic parameters from basic soil
characterization data (sand, silt, clay, bulk density, and
water content). Predictions are made for the van Genuchten
unsaturated hydraulic properties model, with uncertainty
quantification via bootstrap ensemble. Designed for efficient
batch processing of large datasets through vectorized
computation and optional parallel processing.</description><link>https://github.com/r-universe/ncss-tech/actions/runs/38885934081</link><pubDate>Mon, 27 Jul 2026 14:29:28 GMT</pubDate><r:package>rosettaPTF</r:package><r:version>0.2.0</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://ncss-tech.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/ncss-tech/rosettaPTF</r:upstream><r:article><r:source>performance-raster.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>performance-raster.html</r:filename><r:title>High-Throughput Raster Processing</r:title><r:created>2026-03-06 23:29:12</r:created><r:modified>2026-03-06 23:29:12</r:modified></r:article></item><item><title>[ncss-tech] SoilTaxonomy 0.2.8</title><author>andrew.g.brown@usda.gov (Andrew Brown)</author><description>Taxonomic dictionaries, formative element lists, and
functions related to the maintenance, development and
application of U.S. Soil Taxonomy. Data and functionality are
based on official U.S. Department of Agriculture sources
including the latest edition of the Keys to Soil Taxonomy.
Descriptions and metadata are obtained from the National Soil
Information System or Soil Survey Geographic databases. Other
sources are referenced in the data documentation. Provides
tools for understanding and interacting with concepts in the
U.S. Soil Taxonomic System. Most of the current utilities are
for working with taxonomic concepts at the &quot;higher&quot; taxonomic
levels: Order, Suborder, Great Group, and Subgroup.</description><link>https://github.com/r-universe/ncss-tech/actions/runs/38065925457</link><pubDate>Thu, 04 Jun 2026 20:50:47 GMT</pubDate><r:package>SoilTaxonomy</r:package><r:version>0.2.8</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://ncss-tech.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/ncss-tech/SoilTaxonomy</r:upstream><r:article><r:source>family-level_taxonomy.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>family-level_taxonomy.html</r:filename><r:title>Family-level Taxonomic Classes</r:title><r:created>2022-07-08 19:14:08</r:created><r:modified>2022-07-13 20:40:38</r:modified></r:article><r:article><r:source>diagnostics.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>diagnostics.html</r:filename><r:title>Soil Diagnostic Features &amp; Characteristics</r:title><r:created>2022-07-11 21:13:24</r:created><r:modified>2022-07-11 21:13:24</r:modified></r:article><r:article><r:source>taxon-letter-codes.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>taxon-letter-codes.html</r:filename><r:title>Taxon Letter Codes in Soil Taxonomy</r:title><r:created>2021-04-19 16:49:24</r:created><r:modified>2022-07-12 20:44:50</r:modified></r:article></item><item><title>[brownag] rapr 1.1.3</title><author>andrew.g.brown@usda.gov (Andrew Brown)</author><description>Provides access to 'Rangeland Analysis Platform' (RAP)

Brown)</author><description>Provides methods to create input, read output, and run the
routines from the legacy Java Newhall Simulation Model (jNSM)
for soil climate. Currently this package uses a modified
version of the jNSM v1.6.1 which is available for download
here:
&lt;https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/detail/?cid=nrcs142p2_053559&gt;
and the source code found here
&lt;https://github.com/drww/newhall/&gt;. The system requirements of
the extraction and installation tools (Windows .EXE archive) at
the official download link may not be met on your system but
the core Java class files are stored in a platform-independent
format (a Java JAR file; e.g. newhall-1.6.1.jar) which is a
core dependency in this package. Several more recent
modifications to the Newhall JAR file allow for higher
throughput and more efficient batching of many simulations
allowing for larger-than-memory raster-based inputs and
outputs.</description><link>https://github.com/r-universe/ncss-tech/actions/runs/38867777618</link><pubDate>Tue, 04 Mar 2025 21:25:09 GMT</pubDate><r:package>jNSMR</r:package><r:version>0.3.1</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://ncss-tech.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/ncss-tech/jNSMR</r:upstream><r:article><r:source>newhall-prism.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>newhall-prism.html</r:filename><r:title>Applying Newhall to PRISM 30-year Normals for Continental United States</r:title><r:created>2022-01-06 22:06:00</r:created><r:modified>2023-08-28 19:33:36</r:modified></r:article><r:article><r:source>legacy-newhall161.Rmd</r:source><r:filename>legacy-newhall161.html</r:filename><r:title>Using Legacy Newhall v1.6.1 Routines</r:title><r:created>2022-07-06 17:28:49</r:created><r:modified>2023-08-28 19:33:36</r:modified></r:article></item></channel></rss>
